Due to NDA, I can’t show the actual project name and UI design here. That is why I made an entirely new UI for this case study. You may contact me for further information.

Müllenz

Overview

Müllenz is a platform that automates the arrangement of BWICS (formal request for bids on a package of securities, submitted by an institutional investor to a number of securities dealers).

From the seller’s side, the platform lets you create a BWIC and specify the securities that will be included in it, start the trades and receive the trade results and feedback from the buyers in real time. From the buyer’s side, the platform allows you to to participate
in a BWIC, and place your bids.

What was done

As a part of a design team, I conducted user interviews and observation onsite, created a several iterations of clickable wireframes, design system and a high-fidelity clickable prototype

BWIC trades screen, viewer by the seller. The most recent bids are marked in yellow. As a seller, I can finish a trade for each security separately at any moment. The winners for the traded securities are marked green.

Another mode of trading. Here we can see 6 best bids and the trading history for each selected security

When the trade is over, we show the distribbution of the winning bids and the trading history using heatmaps and sparklines

Dark color scheme is very popural among traders (likely because of the Bloomberg Terminal default theme)
